I’ve met so many people who are passionate about their faith, excited about their salvation, and eager to claim the promises of God. They declare abundance, success, healing, and breakthroughs, but their lives don’t reflect any real change.
Why? Because while they have embraced being born again spiritually, their mindset has remained the same.
“Being born again does not change your mentality. If you keep claiming without acting, you will remain in your former state.”
S. Olamilekan Isreal
Being born again is a powerful experience it renews your spirit, reconnects you with God, and gives you access to divine wisdom. But here’s the truth many overlook: salvation changes your spirit, not your mentality. If your mind remains stuck in the same old habits, fears, and limiting beliefs, you will continue living in the same struggles, no matter how much you pray.
Imagine someone who desires financial breakthrough. They pray, fast, and declare prosperity daily. But at the same time, they avoid learning about financial management, refuse to develop skills, and continue making poor money decisions. Will their situation change? No. Because faith without corresponding action is empty.
I’ve seen people believe for healing but refuse to change their lifestyle. I’ve met those who pray for opportunities but let fear and doubt hold them back when those opportunities arrive. I’ve even been there myself, thinking that just because I had faith, things would automatically shift, without realizing that transformation requires both faith and action.
The Bible makes it clear: “Faith without works is dead” (James 2:26). God does His part, but we must do ours. If you truly want to see change, you need to renew your mind. You need to replace old, limiting beliefs with new, empowering truths.
You need to take steps—real, intentional steps—toward the life you desire.
Ask yourself:
• Am I only claiming change, or am I working towards it?
• Are my actions aligned with my prayers?
• Am I learning, growing, and taking responsibility for my transformation?
Your mindset is the key to unlocking everything you’ve been believing for. Don’t just claim it—act on it!
